TITLE: Outstanding Hand Carved Galloping Carousel , with Custom Display Stand

MEDIUM: Hand Carved Wood Horse/Glass Eye/ Brass and Iron Custom Display Stand.
DIMENSIONS: L 54 x W. 10” x H. 60”
CIRCA: Early 20th C.

DESCRIPTION: This standard size, hand carved carousel horse is an outstanding example of this unique and specialized craft. Most often carved by Italian sculptor immigrants, this animal truly appears to gallop through space and time. Although the painted surface is entirely gone, it reveals the carving skills needed to create this work of art. The head and ears are alert, the open mouth is panting, the mane flying and all four legs are completely extended suggesting speed and balance. Don't miss this one. It is sure to delight for yet another lifetime....
CONDITION: Please review all photos. Separations in piece fitting are evident, nut telling, and one eye glass cover is missing, as is the original tail....
